The concept of the wine boutique is based on three aspects: the history of winemaking, modern technology, and architecture.
The interior space is beautifully crafted through architectural solutions that combine centuries-old building techniques with modern materials and complex construction details. From the first steps into the "Goodwine" boutique, visitors are captivated by its unique architecture and layout. The boutique space is divided into three zones – the wine storage area, the product presentation area, and the tasting area.
The central feature is the round counters with smoothly curved edges, displaying a variety of wine bottles. Built-in metal shelves, illuminated from within, emit a warm glow, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere.
"The interior of the "Goodwine" boutique is a manifestation of modern minimalism, where functionality and aesthetics coexist perfectly," says the project architect Akhat Baimenov. "The thoughtful layout ensures easy navigation, enhancing the overall customer experience and delighting design enthusiasts."
Finishing materials play a crucial role in creating the atmosphere. Natural wood, stone plaster, and metal lend the space elegance and respectability. The dark tones of the wood create a sense of coziness and stability. The façade of the wine storage cooler, made of pine boards charred using the Shou Sugi Ban technique, resembles an old wooden barn.
"We used the 'architecture within the interior' method and integrated a separate structure with its own independent microclimate because proper wine storage is the most crucial detail in winemaking," emphasizes Akhat Baimenov.
Metal details add a modern accent to the interior. All built-in shelves in the hall and all wine storage racks are made of metal.
The lighting in the "Goodwine" boutique is meticulously designed to enhance the wine selection process. A suspended woven installation creates a soft diffused light, enveloping the entire space. Spotlights draw attention to individual varieties, directing guests' gaze. In the tasting areas, warm lighting fosters a relaxing atmosphere, creating ideal conditions for leisurely conversations.
"The "Goodwine" interior combines aesthetics, functionality, and an emotional component. Every element, from finishing materials to lighting and furniture, creates a unique atmosphere where customers can buy wine and enjoy the selection process. In such a space, each visit turns into a small journey into the winemaking world," concludes the project architect.
